The parish Our Lady of Lourdes, in the Montes de Oca region of San José, Costa Rica, was the host for the launching of MAG+S Central America 2019, which was combined with the celebration of the patronal feast, on February 11th.

The activity was attended by the four communities that make up the parish, all of which participated in a procession with images of their patron saints that concluded in a solemn Mass in honor of Our Lady of Lourdes. There were fireworks and a traditional musical performance.

Additionally, St. Ignatius of Loyola (played by Mr. Esteban Lobo) made an appearance, and he invited the youth to take on the challenge of following the Eternal King as joyful pilgrims, announcing the Good News and continuing to build the Reign of God.

The coordinating team of MAG+S in Costa Rica took advantage of the opportunity to officially introduce to the community the details of this pre-event to WYD Panama 2019.
