The youth will be inserted in the work that is being carried out - and has been carried out for years - in different Salvadoran institutions around the theme of human rights. They will be able to see how the situation of human rights in the country is going right now; and they will contribute from their own experiences.

The proposed activity agenda for these two sites is linked with the theme of historical memory. In Arcatao and San José Las Flores, the youth will come to know the difficulties and the way of life for local families.
The experience in this community will be directed by the organization Theater Nuevos Tiempos; and beyond getting to know the tools of the theater, the pilgrims will be inserted into the community by learning about its history and the legacy of its martyrs.
The youth will come to know the history of Santa Marta, a community that returned from exile and was born out of the signing of the peace accords in El Salvador.

In this community, the Ignatian youth of the world will come to konw the work carried out by the Martín Baró, S.J., Cooperative and the parish of Jayaque. They will further come to know how the presence of the Society of Jesus and the congregation of the Oblates of the Sacred Heart of Jesus has been of vital importance in the history of that community.

In the spirituality center of the Society of Jesus in El Salvador, the pilgrims will participate in a workshop on human/spiritual growth that will include theoretical and experiential aspects.
Pilgrims will come to know the work carried out by the rural communities of Solidaridad Christian Life Communities, through the experience of faith and solidarity.
Through a growing knowledge of our reality, the youth will discrover - from taizé spirituality - a way to pray to and contemplate God that is made manifest in that reality.
The sisters of the International Movement Heart's Home will share with pilgrims the work that they carry out in that region of El Salvador through an encounter with the realities that accompany life there and in which the pilgrims will be immersed.

Through the activities that Techo El Salvador will organize for the youth, they will be inserted into the social realities of the communities of Santiago Nohualco, and they will come to know its historical richness.
In Sonsonte, the youth will live together with Salvadoran families that will offer a warm welcome; an act of generosity that is very characteristic of this region of El Salvador. They will also participate in different cultural activities.
